Columbus, OhioFor the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old woman near Highview Landing earlier this week, police have filed a murder warrant for a 17-year-old suspect.
At around 8:50 p.m. on November 18, officers were called to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in response to reports of a shooting victim showing up at the hospital. Taarah Griffin-Carmichael was the victim, and she was discovered with gunshot wounds. At 9:18 p.m., she was declared dead despite the efforts of medical staff.
Dionte M. Carey, 17, was identified as a suspect after detectives concluded that the shooting took place in the 200 block of Highview Landing. On suspicion of murder, a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Police are still looking for the perpetrator in the fatal shooting, and the investigation is still underway.
