Bayonne, New Jersey. Late Saturday night, police were called to a heated argument on East 42nd Street, where they discovered a man who had allegedly been stabbed and was bleeding from the neck and back.
When officers reached the site at approximately 9:51 p.m., they found the victim, who was taken right away to the trauma unit at Jersey City Medical Center. His injuries were deemed non-life-threatening by the authorities.
The suspect was soon determined to be 20-year-old East 42nd Street resident Darlin A. Sanchez-Vasquez. Sanchez Vasquez was taken into custody by the police and accused of aggravated assault and illicit weapon possession.
Following that, he was sent to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. His immigration status and any information regarding the incident’s motivation were not made public by officials.
Sanchez-Vasquez was taken into custody last October when there was a rumored fight on the horizon on East 42nd Street. He was charged with obstructing apprehension after giving police a bogus identity. After attempting to resist arrest, Sanchez Vasquez was finally restrained and taken into custody without any more problems.
The circumstances surrounding the altercation are still being looked into by authorities.
