The city of Philadelphia Authorities are looking for a group of young people who are accused of carrying out three unprovoked assaults on the afternoon of November 19 in Philadelphia’s 9th District.
Surveillance footage and still photos of the perpetrators were made public by the Central Detective Division. The attacks took place at various locations in Center City over a 50-minute period.
A 24-year-old woman was pushed to the ground and struck three times in the back of the head in the first incident, which was reported at 3:20 p.m. close to 17th and Chestnut Streets. Einstein Norristown Hospital subsequently determined that she had suffered a concussion.
A 31-year-old male was attacked in the 200 block of North 19th Street about 3:45 p.m. He sustained oral injuries, facial discomfort, and bleeding as a result of the group’s repeated punches to his head and face.
The last assault happened at 4:10 p.m. on Pennsylvania Avenue, where the suspects fled on foot after punching a 41-year-old lady in the head and yanking her hair.
Anyone with knowledge about the suspects is being urged to come forward by investigators. Police are reviewing video evidence from the scenes in an effort to identify the people involved.
