NJ’s Berkley Township Detectives from the Berkeley Township Police Department and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force have wrapped up a month-long investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs. Berkeley Township resident William Manser, 44, was named as a suspect who was found to be using a nearby home for illegal drug use.
As a result of the inquiry, monitoring was installed on the designated site on Thursday. Manser was seen leaving the house, and he escaped on a motorized scooter as police tried to arrest him. Without incident, authorities apprehended him right away and discovered that he was in possession of oxycodone, cocaine, and heroin.
Following more investigation, the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team executed a search warrant at the residence. More controlled dangerous substances and items associated with the distribution of drugs were confiscated by detectives.
In addition to other accusations, Manser is accused of possessing and intending to distribute oxycodone, heroin, and cocaine within 500 feet of a public housing block. While he awaits a detention hearing, he has being held at Ocean County Jail.
