The BP gas station at 871 N Broad Street is where the winning ticket was bought. The winner added, “I didn’t know what to do,” acknowledging that the news left her speechless.
She will receive about $36,000 after statutory 28 percent federal and state tax withholdings. She intends to pay off debt and purchase a new car with her windfall.
The top prize in the $30 scratch-off game Money Maker is $80,000 annually for 25 years. Along with thousands of other cash awards, five top prizes are still unclaimed as of Thursday.
