Fatal Hit-and-Run Investigation in Prince George’s County

Oxon Hill, Maryland The Prince George’s County Police Department is looking into a pedestrian hit-and-run that happened Thursday night and resulted in death. The 52-year-old Sandra Abarca Orellana of Temple Hills has been identified as the victim.

Officers were called to the 6100 block of Oxon Hill Road at around 9:10 p.m. on November 21 after receiving reports of a pedestrian collision. They found the victim severely traumatized upon arrival, and she was declared dead at the site.

According to preliminary investigations, the person was struck in Oxon Hill Road’s eastbound lane. Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver and locating the involved car because the driver did not stay at the scene.
