D.C. police arrest two suspects in violent armed robbery




Washington, D.C. Authorities said Thursday that two suspects have been taken into custody in relation to an armed robbery that took place in Northwest Washington earlier this month.

The event happened in the 2100 block of 9th Street, Northwest, on Wednesday, November 6, at around 12:30 a.m. Before escaping in the victim’s car, the suspects allegedly approached the victim, demanded goods, and flashed a firearm.

Detectives charged 22-year-old Julius Prince of Northwest D.C. with robbery and carrying a firearm without a license after they detained him on Wednesday, November 20. Jeremiah Hasty, 18, of Northeast D.C., was also taken into custody and accused with armed robbery.

The offenders, who are currently being charged with several crimes, were identified and captured thanks to the Metropolitan Police Department’s investigation.
