Teen charged with making repeated threats against Chartiers Valley School District

Pa.’s Alleghany County. The Allegheny County Police Department has charged a 17-year-old youth with terroristic threats and harassment in relation to threats that affected the Chartiers Valley School District.

The inquiry started on November 22 when Collier Township Police asked the county’s General Investigations Unit for help with a handwritten note that they believed was written by the minor. Investigators concluded that the note was menacing.

The teenager had already been charged on November 11 in relation to previous threats against the same school district, according to authorities. Investigators filed more charges and arrested the minor on Friday night after discussing the case with the district attorney’s office.

The threats’ characteristics and possible effects on the school community have not been made public. To protect kids and employees, law police and the school district are still collaborating.

Because of his age, the child’s identity has not been made public, and the matter will go through the juvenile judicial system.
