Connecticut man dies days after being struck by vehicle in Wall Township




New Jersey’s Wall Township.According to authorities, a 64-year-old man from Connecticut passed away from his wounds after being hit by a car earlier this month while crossing State Highway 35.

On Saturday, November 9, at around 6:42 p.m., Michael Losacano of Niantic, Connecticut, was struck close to Wall Church Road. When Wall Township Police arrived on the scene of a pedestrian collision, they discovered Losacano seriously hurt.

A 72-year-old Farmingdale man was operating a Ford Explorer south on State Highway 35 when it collided with Losacano, according to authorities. The person was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune by emergency medical services. On Monday, November 18, Losacano passed away from his wounds despite receiving treatment.

Detective Nicholas Logothetis of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Wall Township Police Sergeant Andrew Baldino, and the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART) are still investigating the event.
