Five-alarm fire in Bayonne displaces 17 residents; arson task force investigating




Bayonne, New Jersey.Authorities said that 17 persons were displaced and six apartments were damaged after a five-alarm fire destroyed a residential structure on Avenue C in Bayonne on Friday morning.

According to the Bayonne Fire Department and the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, the fire started in a bedroom of an apartment at 458 Avenue C at approximately 11:45 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they discovered a lot of smoke and flames that had swiftly spread to nearby buildings.
