Morning traffic updates: Delays across NJ highways and tunnels

  • NJ 23: Fire department activity has been reported south of NJ 94 in Hamburg, closing access to Gingerbread Castle Road for through traffic. All lanes on NJ 23 remain open.
  • Holland Tunnel: Eastbound delays continue, with a 20-minute travel time from the New Jersey Turnpike Exit 14C and NJ 139 at Tonnelle Circle to the New York side.
  • George Washington Bridge:
    • Upper level eastbound delays are at 45 minutes from I-95/I-80 to the Alexander Hamilton Bridge.
    • Lower level eastbound delays are at 35 minutes through the toll plaza in Fort Lee.
  • Lincoln Tunnel: Both the center and south tunnels eastbound are experiencing 35-minute delays from New Jersey Turnpike Exit 16E to the New York side.
  • New Jersey Turnpike:
    • Delays are reported on the northbound I-95 exit at US 46 in Ridgefield due to volume.
    • Eastbound on the Hudson County Extension, delays persist at Interchange 14 (I-78) in Newark.
  • NJ 3: Eastbound traffic is delayed 15-20 minutes between Meadowlands Parkway in Secaucus and US 1&9 in North Bergen Township.
