A Hartville player cashes in big with a $50K scratch-off win

The town of Hartford, Ohio After buying a Billion scratch-off ticket at the Giant Eagle shop located at 907 W Maple Street in Hartville, a fortunate Ohio Lottery player is celebrating winning $50,000.

After statutory 28 percent federal and state tax withholdings, the winner will get about $36,000.

The top prize in the $50 scratch-off game Billion is $1 million annually for 20 years. Along with numerous other cash awards, three top rewards are still unclaimed as of January 9.

Since its founding in 1974, the Ohio Lottery has donated almost $33 billion to schools, continuing its objective to support education.
