Arizona Man Smuggled Drugs worth One Million; Sentenced in Bermuda for Alleged Crimes

Seven years in jail have been handed down to a guy from the United States who entered a guilty plea to the charge of smuggling marijuana, cocaine, and heroin into Bermuda with a total value of almost one million dollars.

According to an article that was published on Friday by The Royal Gazette newspaper, the accused, who is from Arizona, stated that he was tricked into bringing the drugs that were discovered by authorities when he arrived in the affluent archipelago in November 2022.

According to the authorities, they discovered 18 pounds of marijuana, two pounds of cocaine, and one ounce of heroin in a suitcase that the suspect was carrying during the investigation.

According to the publication, the accused stated that he was only intended to hand over the suitcase to another individual once he arrived at his hotel in Bermuda. He claimed that he had been provided the suitcase by another individual.
