Authorities in Arizona said that a high school principal tried to get a 12-year-old girl to “get cozy” in bed, take nude pictures, and engage in sexual acts by telling her, “I don’t mind your age.”
According to court documents obtained by Fox 10 Phoenix, Joseph Kinney, the 42-year-old principal of Buckeye Union High School in the town of Buckeye, spoke with someone he thought was a teenage girl using the anonymous social networking app Whisper. However, the person was actually an undercover agent.
When Kinney replied to an agent’s post in July that said, “Bored lol what should I do,” the station reported, investigators became quite interested in him.
Kinney advised her to “get cozy in her bed” and undress, referring to her by the handle “Macabre Pure.”
Still pretending to be a young girl, the agent informed him that she was only 12 and noted that the request was strange.
According to the court records, Kinney said in a spooky manner, “I don’t mind your age.”
Subsequent talks become even more sexual, according to the records, with the principal supposedly asking the girl to provide nude photos.
According to the Arizona Republic, he also expressed his desire to “rescue” her from her grandmother’s Oregon house, where the agent stated they were staying, in order to engage in many sex acts with her.
On September 3, the feds searched his residence in Goodyear, Arizona, after tracing his IP address. The Republic reported of the pervert principal seen winking in his photograph wearing a shirt with flowers on it the same day, he was apprehended during a traffic stop and placed on administrative leave.
According to the records released by Fox 10, Kinney later told police that he had spoken with “multiple females on Whisper that claimed to be underage.”
The principal then declared, according to court documents, that he felt “stupid and embarrassed for his decisions” and that he would “never engage in sexual acts with a child.”
Kinney is being jailed on a $60,000 bond after being accused of luring a kid for the purpose of sexual exploitation. The date of the preliminary hearing is September 12.
