Armed home invasion in Bronx leaves two injured, suspects sought

New York’s Bronx.Three people are being sought by police in connection with an armed break-in at a Bronx residence on Sunday night that injured two men and led to the theft of jewelry and cash.

Three unidentified people broke into an apartment building close to East 172nd Street and Stratford Avenue on January 12, 2025, at around 11:42 p.m. According to the police, the suspects broke through the front door of an apartment and showed two male victims, ages 41 and 47, their firearms.

The 41-year-old male was shot twice in the abdomen, and the 47-year-old man was hit by a gun several times. After robbing the victims of $4,500 in cash and jewelry, the suspects fled on foot in a westward direction.

With severe injuries, both victims were sent to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. The suspects are still at large and no one has been taken into custody.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) since the investigation is still underway.

Two guys were hurt in an armed robbery and shooting in a Bronx apartment, and three suspects are still at large.
