Armed suspects lock employees in bathroom during D.C. robbery

Washington, D.C. Police are still looking for the suspects in an armed robbery that occurred last week at a business in Northwest Washington, D.C., where employees were confined and kept in a restroom.

The incident happened in the 1500 block of 9th Street NW on December 12, 2024, at around 6:55 p.m. Armed with weapons, several individuals broke into the establishment, pushed the staff into the restroom, and then locked the door. After stealing goods, the suspects left the area.

One of the suspects was photographed by surveillance cameras, and the police have made the images public in an effort to identify the culprits.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call (202) 727-9099 or text their information to the MPD’s anonymous TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. For information that results in an arrest and conviction in the case, a reward of up to $10,000 is being given.

Authorities are still looking for the people engaged in the probe.
