Asbury Park Police Department celebrates officer promotions in ceremony at town hall

New Jersey’s Asbury Park.In front of their families, coworkers, and local authorities, the Asbury Park Police Department honored three officers with new leadership positions on Monday during a promotional event.

Deputy Chief Thompson formally presented the officers for their promotions during the event, which took place in the City Council Chambers. Sean McGrady was promoted to police sergeant, Sean De Shader to police lieutenant, and Lorenzo Pettway to police captain.

The swearing-in ceremony, which was attended by local politicians and other law enforcement representatives, marked the culmination of the officers’ accomplishments and was performed by Deputy City Clerk Anthony Cucci.

The department thanked the city leaders who helped make the promotions possible, including the mayor, deputy mayor, council members, city manager, and deputy city manager.
