Authorities investigate overnight shooting in Red Bank




New Jersey’s Red Bank. According to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, police are looking into a shooting that occurred early on Saturday morning and injured a 34-year-old male.

Following reports of gunfire, Red Bank police officers arrived at St. Mary’s Place, which is located immediately off Shrewsbury Avenue, at around 1:48 a.m. Three shell casings were found at the location by the officers. Officials learned shortly afterward that a Long Branch man had been wounded in the upper leg and was being treated at a nearby hospital.

The condition of the victim has not been revealed.

Members of the Red Bank Police Department and the Major Crimes Bureau of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office are conducting the investigation.
