While running errands on December 23, the Owings Mills resident bought the winning $1 straight ticket. He stopped at One Stop Liquors & Wine in Reisterstown on a whim and chose numbers that, in his words, “just felt right.”
The winner informed lottery authorities, “When I think about it, I get a ticket.” I turned in as soon as I noticed the store.
He had bought tickets to ten drawings, and the big victory occurred during the midday drawing on December 28. When he looked at the results the next day, he saw that he had won the highest prize in the game. At first, I couldn’t believe it. He said, “I couldn’t believe it had happened to me.”
