BALTIMORE, Md.
— A 40-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot early Wednesday morning in the city’s Northwest District, police said.
The shooting occurred around 3:24 a.m. in the 4100 block of West Belvedere Avenue. Patrol officers responded to the scene and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Medics transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he is being treated. Authorities say he is expected to survive.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting, including a motive or potential suspects, have not been released.
Detectives are asking for the public’s help as the investigation continues.
