Baltimore police arrest 15-year-old on handgun charges


BALTIMORE — A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody after Baltimore police officers found him in possession of a stolen, loaded handgun during an investigation in the city’s Eastern District late Monday night.

According to the Baltimore Police Department, officers from the Eastern District Action Team were conducting an investigation in the 1000 block of East 22nd Street at approximately 10:04 p.m. on October 28. During the operation, officers apprehended the juvenile and recovered a loaded handgun, which was later determined to be stolen.

The 15-year-old suspect was transported to the Juvenile Justice Center, where he was processed and charged with multiple handgun-related offenses. Authorities have not released further information about the circumstances of the investigation or the origins of the stolen firearm.
