BALTIMORE, MD — Baltimore Police officers have ramped up efforts to combat violence across the city, confiscating numerous weapons and drugs in the past three days as part of an ongoing citywide crackdown.
The department announced that recent investigations led to the seizure of multiple firearms and controlled substances from various neighborhoods, with officers focused on arresting those contributing to violent crime. So far this year, police report that they have taken more than 1,900 firearms off the streets.
Residents are encouraged to report illegal activity by calling 911 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP. Tips can be submitted anonymously.
