Attention all comic lovers! The Clearwater Public Library System will host their annual Clearwater Comic Con event this Saturday, March 5, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at a new location for 2022 – the Ross Norton Recreation Complex, 1426 S MLK Jr. Ave in Clearwater. The event is free. That’s right, FREE!

Clearwater Comic Con is a comic book convention sponsored by the Clearwater Public Library System & the Clearwater Parks & Recreation Department.

Come on out to share your interests in comics, manga, movies, pop culture, superheroes and more.

And if you’re a young kid in spirit, if not body – no problem! All ages are welcome. There will be fun for the entire family.

Dress as your favorite character and participate in costume contests. Visit comic artists, attend an informational panel and check out a variety of vendor booths.

Featured guest Karl Moline has worked as a professional comic book artist with every major comics publishers for over 20 years. He is best known for his work on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and co-creating Fray with Joss Whedon, but has also worked on titles such as Superboy, Supergirl, Avengers Arena, Avengers Academy, Rogue, Route 666, Daredevil 2099, Loners, Seekers of the Weird, Hulk Smash Avengers, B.P.R.D., Spiderman Unlimited, and Vampirella among others.

Calling all crime junkies! Author and artist, Maureen Catherine Orkwis, will be attending She will also be taking part in this year’s Authors/Artists Creative Process panel. Follow the link below for more information.

Bob Dixon is a two-time Guinness World Record holder for the World’s Longest Cartoon Strip. He is the author and creator of a number of comic book titles for Pocket Change Comics, including Assassinette: The Mind Stalker, Psyco Duck, Jester’s Dead, The Holy Knight, Riplash, Shadow Slasher, and Warzone 3719. Bob has written two children books, Rooty the Tree Troll and Holiday Bunny; two young adult books, Mouch and Company: The Dream Psychic and Rags and Ruins; An adult humor book Snafu Fubar: Nothing Heroic; and is the co-author of Will Jones’ biography A Tough Call. Bob is also the Writer/Director of the movie Dr. Prozak’s Office. Bob will also be taking part in this year’s Authors & Artists Creative Process Panel.
