Beloved 3-month-old puppy snatched from parked car in D.C.


WASHINGTON, D.C. – Authorities are searching for a 3-month-old Poodle puppy named Oso, stolen from a car in Northeast Washington on Sunday afternoon. The Metropolitan Police Department is requesting the public’s help in locating the dog and identifying the suspect involved.

The incident occurred on October 27 around 1:30 p.m. in the 3600 block of Harewood Road, Northeast. Officers from the Fourth District responded to a reported theft and discovered that an unknown individual had broken a car window to gain access to the victim’s vehicle and steal the puppy. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Police have not provided further details on the suspect or possible surveillance footage from the area. Oso, a young Poodle, is pictured in a photo released by police, which could aid in the search.


The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
