SARATOGA, N.Y. — According to statements from her office and New York State Police, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik and her family received a bomb threat Wednesday morning as they went home to Saratoga County for Thanksgiving.
Around nine in the morning on November 27, Stefanik’s home was visited by law enforcement, including Saratoga County Sheriff’s deputies, New York State Police, and U.S. Capitol Police. After searching the property, explosive-detection K9 units found no devices. According to a police statement, no explosive devices were found by State Police officers or K9 units.

The same day, Trump’s choice to head the Environmental Protection Agency, former Congressman Lee Zeldin, disclosed that a bomb threat had been made against his residence. Pro-Palestinian words were mentioned in the threat, Zeldin wrote on X, although he also affirmed that his family was secure and not at home at the time.
Zeldin stated that law enforcement moved quickly to safeguard his home and community after receiving a pipe bomb threat with a pro-Palestinian message that was directed at him and his family.
Members of President-elect Trump’s transition team and appointments have been the victim of numerous targeted events, including these threats. Karoline Leavitt, a spokesperson for the Trump-Vance Transition Team, described the threats as dangerous and un-American, and the FBI said that it is closely collaborating with law enforcement to look into them.
The FBI urged the public to report any suspicious behavior right away, stating that it is aware of multiple bomb threats and swatting instances directed against incoming government nominees and appointees.
