When Neptune Township Police responded to reports of gunfire near the intersection of Hillview Drive and Edgemere Road on the evening of May 14, 2022, the tragedy took place. on a car parked on his driveway, Mills was discovered seriously hurt. Mills was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center immediately, but the next day he passed away from his wounds.
Chatmon and Walker were named as suspects following a thorough investigation by the Neptune Township Police and the Major Crimes Bureau of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
