BRICK TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Officials said Wednesday that Brick Township Police are looking into threatening remarks made by a student at Veterans Memorial Middle School.
Detectives worked closely with school administrators to evaluate the issue after the incident was reported to police on the afternoon of November 20. Authorities concluded after a preliminary inquiry that there was no real risk to the security of the school’s employees or kids.
Police Chief David Forrester emphasized the value of community collaboration in maintaining safety while expressing gratitude to the school administration and those who came forward with the information. The agency released a statement saying, “Brick Police and Brick Schools want to reassure the community that we always take such incidents seriously and will investigate all threats to their lawful conclusion.”
