Bronx man charged in violent rape on Virginia Avenue




New York’s Bronx. According to authorities, a 21-year-old man was taken into custody on Wednesday in relation to the vicious rape of a 26-year-old lady on Virginia Avenue.

The girl was strolling alone when she was attacked at around 3:30 a.m. in front of a house on Virginia Avenue, according to the police. According to reports, the attacker came up behind her, repeatedly hit the right side of her body, and then sexually raped her.

The NYPD reports that the suspect, Gregory Williams of Westchester Avenue, was taken into custody within the boundaries of the 41st Precinct at 12:45 p.m. that same day. After the attack, he was last seen turning east on McGraw Avenue after running south on Virginia Avenue.

Following the event, the sufferer was taken to a nearby hospital and classified in stable condition. The inquiry is being led by the NYPD’s Bronx Special Victims Squad.

Two counts of first-degree rape, third-degree assault, third-degree sexual abuse, and second-degree harassment are among the charges against Williams.
