Brooklyn man shot and killed in early morning shooting

Brooklyn, New York.The NYPD reports that a 34-year-old man was killed in an early-morning shooting in Brownsville on Sunday.

A 911 call about a person being shot at the intersection of Riverdale Avenue and Osborn Street was received by 73rd Precinct police at around 2:58 a.m. When they arrived, they discovered that the man’s right arm had been shot.

The victim was taken by emergency care personnel to Brookdale Hospital care Center, where he was subsequently declared deceased.

Police are still investigating, thus no arrests have been made.

The victim’s identify has not been made public by the NYPD until his family has been notified. Police have not provided any potential motives for the shooting, identified any suspects, or made any arrests.

As part of their ongoing investigation, detectives from the 73rd Precinct are searching the neighborhood for security footage and eyewitness reports.
