Brutal Carjacking of Lamborghini in Connecticut Leads to Federal Charges for Six South Florida Men

In connection with the brutal armed carjacking and abduction of a couple in a Lamborghini in Connecticut, six men from South Florida are facing federal charges.

On Thursday, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut announced that five individuals—Angel Borrero, Michael Rivas, Ricardo Estrada, Anthony Pena of Miami Gardens, and Reynaldo Diaz of Belle Glade—are being held on accusations of carjacking and conspiracy.

On August 25, in Danbury, a carjacking occurred, and numerous witnesses called 911, prompting police to react.

A white work truck allegedly cut in front of the couple as their Lamborghini Urus was rear-ended by a Honda Civic, according to the prosecution.

While being warned over and over again that they would die, the victims were violently pulled from their vehicles, hauled into the van, and bound with duct tape.

The victim, a man, allegedly resisted the assault and was then struck multiple times with a baseball bat and a punch to the face.

Officials stated that the vehicle sped away after officers responding to the 911 calls saw it and attempted to pull it over.

After the van came to a final rest, the two victims were discovered inside, duct-taped together. Both patients were sent to a nearby hospital for treatment after the male had serious injuries to his arm and face.

The area surrounding the van crash was where Borrero, Romero, Pena, and Diaz were apprehended. Authorities added that a short-term rental home was nearby when they found Rivas and Estrada, as well as the Honda Civic that had rear-ended the Lamborghini.

The Lamborghini was discovered in a forested region, seemingly deserted.
