Police responded to a suspicious circumstance in the area of Roberts Avenue and Vintage Way on Monday afternoon, according to authorities. A caller has made a distressing discovery – the charred remains of their loved one have been found at an encampment in the vicinity.
Authorities arrived at the scene and discovered the charred remains. Initial findings indicated that foul play was involved in the victim’s demise, according to law enforcement.
Police are investigating the case as the 21st homicide in the city this year.
The identity of the victim has not been disclosed yet. It is unclear whether or not they had any connection to the encampment.
