Chesapeake police investigating shooting that left one man critically injured




CHESAPEAKE, VA — A gunshot occurred in the 3000 block of Parkside Drive on Friday night, leaving a man with potentially fatal injuries. Police are looking into the incident.

Officers responded to reports of gunshots in the vicinity at around 8:53 p.m., according to the Chesapeake Police Department. They received more calls indicating that someone had been shot while they were en route to the area.

Officers found a male adult who had been shot when they arrived. He was sent to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for what were deemed to be potentially fatal injuries.
