California’s Los Angeles County When human remains were found along the beachfront in Palos Verdes Estates, California, a peaceful weekend beach walk took an unpleasant turn. A human skull and bones discovered at low tide are currently being looked into by authorities.

Beachgoer Makes Grim Discovery

At RAT (Redondo and Torrance) Beach, which is situated on the 300 block of Paseo Del Mar in Los Angeles County, a beachgoer reported discovering what seemed to be a human skull and another bone close to the low tide line at around 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department sent officers to the area right away. What officials discovered when they arrived was explained by Acting Captain Aaron Belda.

According to Belda, they observed what appeared to be a head and a portion of a skeleton, a torso in the water, when they arrived.

Police reported finding more bones in the vicinity before the tide returned.

Coroner Confirms the Remains Are Human

After being dispatched to the location, Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office staff verified that the remains were human.

According to a statement from the police, no details about the remains’ potential age or gender, date of death, or cause of death are known.

The remains are currently being examined further by the coroner’s office. Investigators are attempting to identify the victim and ascertain the cause of death.
