Election Day for Clearwater City Council Seats 4 and 5 is March 15, 2022. The city of Clearwater will host two virtual candidate forums for the upcoming municipal election.
The forum for Seat 4 will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 6:30 p.m., and the forum for Seat 5 will be held Wednesday, Feb. 16, 6:30 p.m.
Al Reuschel will be moderating. The moderator does his research, generates his own questions and asks them at the forum.
There will be no in-person component. Candidates will be logging in from wherever they choose. The city will not be employing a chat box or raising of hands for residents to ask questions. It is important that each candidate have the chance to answer questions in the same manner, in order for the forum to be fair.
Residents are invited to stream the forums on the city’s website or YouTube, and watch the forums as observers.
The forums can be streamed live on myclearwater.com or on the city’s YouTube channel at youtube.com/myclearwater, and the videos will be available to watch after the forums.
