Colorado Man Sentenced for Over a Century After Abusing Two Young Girls in Basement; Forced Them to Strip Clothing as a Game

A man has been sentenced to over a century in prison for the heinous crime of sexually assaulting two 5-year-old girls in a basement nearly three years ago, according to prosecutors. The Colorado judge delivered the verdict, ensuring that justice is served for the victims.

James Pinker, 37, was found guilty by a jury in June of four counts of sexual assault on a child with a pattern of abuse. On August 30, Weld County District Court Judge Vincente Vigil handed down a sentence of 112 years-to-life in the Colorado Department of Corrections. As per the 19th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, two girls arrived at the Medical Center of the Rockies on Dec. 12, 2021, to report an incident of sexual assault that occurred at a Weld County home while they were visiting a family member.

The girls informed detectives that they were in the basement of the residence engaged in a game called “Monsters” when Pinker joined them and proposed playing a game involving “kissing.”

“When asked what the ‘kissing’ game was, the victims said the defendant would put his mouth on their ‘privates’ and made them take their clothes off,” the press release stated.

Pinker’s arrest in January 2022 resulted in their subsequent release on bond. Following his conviction, he has been returned to jail and is currently being transferred to the Colorado Department of Corrections.

Furthermore, a young woman, aged 17, bravely shared during the sentencing that she had experienced sexual abuse from Pinker during her childhood.
