Colorado Springs 5-Day Forecast: Warm Start Before Significant Cool Down and Snow Midweek

Springs, ColoradoThe weekend will begin warm and sunny, but by Monday night, snow and cooler temperatures will be moving into Colorado. Forecasters anticipate a significant cooldown with a growing likelihood of snowfall across the central mountains and southeast plains early next week, following a period of pleasant weather.

The National Weather Service predicts that Colorado Springs will have highs in the 60s on Friday, lows in the 40s on Saturday, and then a drop into the 30s on Monday. Monday evening is predicted to bring snow showers, with accumulations that are minimal yet significant for commuters. Tuesday could bring cold temperatures and travel difficulties to the southeast plains, including Pueblo and La Junta.

Huerfano and Las Animas counties are predicted to see gusty winds of up to 65 mph on Friday, which could cause traffic jams on Interstate 25 and increase the risk of fire. Crosswinds should always be avoided by drivers.

Much of the region will see temperatures below freezing through Wednesday, increasing the likelihood of snowfall. Early next week, locals should get ready for potentially slick roads and winter driving conditions. As the storm approaches, check local updates for advisories and traffic conditions.
