Colorado Weather Alert: Warmer Days Ahead with Windy Conditions in Colorado Springs This Week

Springs, ColoradoColorado Springs is about to experience a major warm-up following a cold start to the weekend. On the other hand, rising winds will make travel and outdoor plans more difficult.

The National Weather Service predicts that Sunday will be sunny with a high of about 58 degrees Fahrenheit, but that the afternoon might see northwest winds of up to 15 miles per hour. Sunday night is predicted to be a brief chill, with lows dropping to 38 degrees Fahrenheit and more clouds.

With highs of 65 degrees Fahrenheit and partly clear skies, Monday is the warmest day of the week. Overall weather are still fair, but during the afternoon, winds will change to the southeast. Tuesday is another pleasant day with a high of 63 degrees Fahrenheit, but there will be windy conditions with gusts of up to 35 miles per hour.

The highs on Wednesday and Thursday are close to 52 and 57 degrees Fahrenheit, respectively, as the week progresses. Later in the week, winds will change from northwest to south, although they will still be a factor.

Given Tuesday’s high winds, locals should be ready for any changes in the weather. Drive carefully on open roads, especially I-25 and Highway 24, where gusts may affect visibility, and secure outdoor objects.
