COLUMBUS, Ohio
— Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying individuals connected to a homicide that occurred late Sunday night on the city’s southeast side.
At approximately 11:45 p.m. on May 25, officers were flagged down in the 1600 block of East Livingston Avenue following reports of a shooting. Responding officers located 47-year-old Jehad Alzaben suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Alzaben was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:30 a.m. Monday.
Detectives are now seeking to identify individuals captured in surveillance images and are asking residents and businesses in the surrounding area to review any video footage that may assist in the investigation. A map and QR code have been distributed by police to streamline the evidence submission process.
Community urged to come forward with video or tips
Authorities have not released information on a motive or whether the individuals seen in the footage are considered suspects or persons of interest.
