Crack into these Stone Crab Fests

Pig out. Wolf down. Gobble up. What is it with idioms of animals and eating?

You can take the lion’s share. Hog it all. Peck at. Chow down.

The English language contains so many different words for feasting: inhale, gulp, guzzle, scarf, gorge, devour. Why? Because who doesn’t love to eat? Especially when it’s your favorite food.

And nothing, but nothing beats stone crabs.

Clearwater Beach locals and visitors alike can look forward to three – count them, three – stone crab festivals coming up!

Dig in to one of Florida’s favorite seafood delicacies at Cooters Restaurant & Bar as the Stone Crab season begins. Cooters 27th Annual Crab Fest returns Thursday, October 22 – Sunday, October 25, 2020. The event features boat loads of fresh Florida Stone Crab plus other crab varieties including King Crab, Snow Crab and Dungeness Crab, all at wholesale prices! In addition, the festival will have live music on stage by local performers and bands, a chalk artist, commemorative t-shirts for sale, and a variety of other food and drink specials.

For 35 years, Frenchy’s has ushered in the return of Florida Stone Crab Season with the largest celebration on Clearwater Beach! Frenchy’s is pleased to announce that they are back with our 36th Annual Frenchy’s Stone Crab Weekend! However, due to Covid-19, Frenchy’s is putting a twist on their annual event. Like season’s past, you can count on all five traditional Frenchy’s dine-in restaurants to serve-up deeply discounted stone crab claws throughout the celebration! This will include all the collectable Frenchy’s merchandise traditionally coveted by our annual attendees! Sure it’s different, but it’s still CLAWesome! Friday, October 23 – Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.

Palm Pavilion’s Stone Crab Weekend will be held during normal operating hours – Friday, October 23 – Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Live entertainment all weekend. Stone crabs… while supplies last. Souvenir tee-shirts available in our shop. No admission fee. Food and beverages available for purchase.

Cooters, Frenchy’s, & Palm Pavilion aren’t the only ones in the Stone Crab game – make sure to visit your favorite Stone-Crab-carrying restaurants before they run out.

Be sure to crack down and crab it up!
