Cumberland man arrested for assault on Fayette Street




Cumberland, Maryland.According to the Cumberland Police Department, a 22-year-old man was taken into custody early Tuesday morning after an assault at a home located in the 400 block of Fayette Street.

At around 12:17 a.m., officers arrived on the site and began their investigation. Officers saw injuries that matched the victim’s description after the victim told them that Jaren Jennings Brunson had attacked them. The claims were supported by statements made by an impartial witness.

After being arrested, Brunson was brought to Central Booking. Later, he appeared before a commissioner of the District Court and was freed on his own recognizance.
