Delaware State Police investigate fatal three-vehicle crash near Millsboro




DEL MILLSBORO. Delaware State Police stated that one woman was killed and another male was critically hurt in a three-vehicle crash that occurred Friday night close to Millsboro.

The collision happened at the intersection of Coolspring Road and Harbeson Road on December 6, 2024, at around 5:56 p.m. A westbound Ram Promaster on Coolspring Road struck the driver’s side of a southbound Nissan Sentra on Harbeson Road after failing to stop at the stop sign. The collision’s debris caused minor damage to a northbound Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The Nissan’s driver, an 86-year-old man from Millsboro, was taken to a nearby hospital after suffering severe injuries. In addition to being hospitalized, his passenger, a 79-year-old Millsboro woman, passed away as a result of her injuries. Her name is being withheld by the authorities until her family has been notified.

The Ram Promaster’s driver, a 29-year-old male from Salisbury, Maryland, was slightly hurt but refused to be taken to the hospital. The Jeep’s driver, a 32-year-old Lincoln, Delaware resident, was uninjured.

The circumstances behind the crash are still being investigated.
