Do You Know Them? Newark Police Searching for Hooded Burglars

NEWARK, N.J. — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects connected to a vehicle burglary and subsequent unauthorized use of stolen credit cards, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé reported that on October 5, a victim left her purse, containing several credit cards, inside her vehicle parked on the 100 block of Richelieu Terrace. It is believed that the vehicle may have been unlocked at the time of the incident, which occurred around 10:30 p.m.

The victim later received notifications that her credit cards had been used at two businesses in Irvington: the Cloud 9 Smoke Shop and Royal Taste of Caribbean Restaurant on Myrtle Avenue. Police say surveillance footage captured the suspects making purchases at both locations.
