Maryland’s Montgomery County. Early on Wednesday morning, a man was seriously hurt after he collided his Ford Thunderbird with a parked SUV on Cedar Lane, setting off a frantic chain reaction.
The event happened in the 9800 block of Cedar Lane at approximately 2:40 a.m. The impact from the accident flipped the parked SUV onto its roof, which collided with an empty pickup truck, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police.
The Ford’s driver was taken by emergency personnel to a local hospital for medical attention. As authorities continue their investigation, his condition is still severe.
While investigators investigated the site, Cedar Lane between Interstate 495 and Saul Road had to be temporarily closed due to the collision. Until the area was reopened later in the morning, police recommended drivers to use other routes.
