Driver killed, another injured in head-on crash on Triadelphia Mill Road




Clarksville, Maryland. A two-vehicle crash on Triadelphia Mill Road Tuesday afternoon left one motorist dead and another critically injured; Howard County police are looking into the incident.

According to police, the collision happened in the 13100 block of Triadelphia Mill Road at around 2:53 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 2016 Toyota Corolla heading east crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a 2017 Toyota 4Runner head-on.

The Corolla’s driver, a female adult who was the only person inside the car, was declared deceased at the site. The 4Runner’s sole occupant and driver, a female adult, was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center after suffering severe injuries.

The deceased driver’s identity has been kept secret by the authorities until her next of kin have been notified.

While investigators attempted to ascertain the cause of the collision, a section of Triadelphia Mill Road was closed for around two and a half hours.


Investigators are still looking into what caused the collision.
