911 Call Triggers Urgent Search
When 911 personnel received a worrisome call about the missing youngsters, the horror started.
Deputies from Linn County instantly realized the seriousness of the situation and raced to the location. As soon as they realized the danger, they called the Linn County Fire Department for backup.
Crucial hints led officials to the lake while they searched the region.
Drone Confirms Children s Fate
Authorities used airborne drone technology in an attempt to find the missing children. All hope was dashed by what they discovered. The children were stranded beneath the ice, their dead bodies immersed in the icy water, as the drone film tragically demonstrated.
According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, searchers discovered evidence that suggested the two juveniles had been near the lake. Their worst suspicions were shortly validated.
The search effort came to a terrible end when the Overland Park Fire Dive Team was quickly called in to recover the remains.
