Dutchess County Drug Dealer Arrested with Fentanyl and Handgun

Poughkeepsie, NY – A drug dealer in Poughkeepsie’s “South Side” has been apprehended by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force. The operation targeted Haitham A. Dasan, 48, following reports of narcotics sales, including fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, with agents also discovering he was armed.

On Thursday, around 12:00 PM, task force agents located and arrested Mr. Dasan near Hooker Ave. They discovered large quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and a loaded .32 caliber handgun in his possession.

Mr. Dasan now faces multiple charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and possession of a weapon. He was arraigned in Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail without bail.
