EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. — Officers from the East Brunswick Police Department met with residents on Saturday at the Brunswick Square Mall as part of the national Coffee with a Cop initiative.
The event provided an informal setting for community members to engage with local law enforcement, allowing residents to voice their concerns and ask questions. The program, which aims to break down barriers between officers and citizens, is designed to foster open dialogue by removing structured agendas.
The gathering took place with the support of the Brunswick Square Mall, which hosted the event, and Panera, which supplied the coffee. In a social media statement, the department thanked the community for participating and acknowledged the venue and coffee provider for their contributions.
“We would like to extend our gratitude to the members of the East Brunswick Community who took time out of their day to meet and greet our officers to discuss various topics while sharing a cup of coffee,” the police department shared on its official Facebook page.
Coffee with a Cop is a nationwide initiative aimed at creating more accessible communication channels between police officers and the communities they serve.
