On Friday morning, there was a collision on Interstate 294 close to 47th Street that involved at least eight vehicles altogether.
The Illinois State Police arrived at the scene of the collision at approximately 5:45 a.m., which involved eight automobiles and blocked two lanes of traffic. It was reported by ISP that the troopers discovered two distinct collisions, one of which involved six cars and the other of which included two cars.
There was no report of any injuries.
Five automobiles needed to be towed.
Kris Habermehl suggests that in order to avoid the backups, one should use LaGrange Road to Ogden Avenue in order to enter northbound Interstate 294.
