New Jersey’s Manchester Township. Although there were no reported injuries, authorities said a fire that started late Friday night at a house on Hudson Parkway rendered the house unusable.
At around 9:23 p.m., Manchester Township Police Department officers arrived at 137A Hudson Parkway in response to reports of an active structure fire. When they arrived, smoke and flames could be seen coming from the back of the house.
Before emergency personnel arrived, all nearby residences were deemed to be either vacant or evacuated. The Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division and Manchester Township Communications Division coordinated the dispatch of many fire companies, who collaborated to put out the fire.
The building inspector declared the house unusable due to extensive fire and water damage. The Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office conducted an initial investigation and concluded that the master bedroom’s energized electrical components failed, causing the fire.
The many fire departments and emergency services that provided assistance at the scene were thanked by the Manchester Township Police Department.
