Fatal rush-hour collision leaves pedestrian dead in Howard County




Maryland’s Howard County Howard County police say a pedestrian was hit and killed Monday night while crossing Cedar Lane close to Holland Court.

The man was struck by a 2013 Hyundai Sonata while he was crossing the street at approximately 5:15 p.m. After being taken to a hospital, the pedestrian passed away from his wounds.

The driver of the car, who stayed at the site, was unharmed, according to the police.

For about two hours, Cedar Lane was closed as Howard County Police Department investigators processed the scene. The inquiry is still under progress.
